Bihar : Barabar Caves The world's first man-made caves. Caves of Emperor Ashoka!

 

बराबर हिल गुफाएं भारत में सबसे पुरानी जीवित गुफाएं हैं, मौर्य साम्राज्य (322-185 ईसा पूर्व) से, कुछ अशोक शिलालेखों के साथ, जहानाबाद जिले, बिहार, भारत के मखदुमपुर क्षेत्र में, गया से 24 किमी उत्तर में स्थित हैं।

The Barabar Hill Caves are the oldest surviving caves in India,  from the Maurya Empire (322–185 BCE), some with Ashokan inscriptions, located in the Makhdumpur region of Jehanabad district, Bihar, India, 24 km north of Gaya.
