Dearness Allowance increased from 17 to 28 percent .The Prime Minister has announced to increase the dearness allowance of central employees from 17% to 28%. Central employees will get a big relief from this decision of the cabinet.  Retired employees will also benefit from this. Will be applicable from 1st April. In January 2020, the DA of central employees was increased by four percent. In January 2021, it had increased by four per cent. However, the government had banned it since January last year. Now after one and a half year, the moratorium on all three installments has been removed. The government had put a moratorium on dearness allowance due to the Corona epidemic. The Finance Ministry had agreed to stop the dearness allowance (DA) increase till June 2021. For this, the government will spend about Rs 34,401 crore.
